Keep in mind the extremely low ammo capacity of the Dragonsbreath.

I always preferred the Dragonsbreath on Support rather than Firebug.
KILLING FLOOR 3 ALT FIRE UPGRADE
Spammable because of decently high ammo and the first upgrade doesn't add on any extra weight. If you have nearly no ammo left in your Caulk, I'm pretty sure it's still cheaper to sell it for 150 and buy it back for 200 with Firebug's passive extra ammo on start (the Caulk you spawn with will only sell for 100).ĭual Spitfires are plenty strong if you can get headshots with them and they lay down ground fire as well. You can use it for pretty much an entire game and it's extremely cheap. At low Firebug levels, it also hurts yourself a lot if you don't have high immunity to your own fire.ĭon't underestimate the Caulk. Molotovs lay down I think like 4 or 5 stacks of ground fire, so they melt pretty much anything that stands on it. If you have the Dual Spitfires, you can spam them in Zed Time and lay down an ungodly amount of Ground Fire with them. Real Time/ Near Real Time in Zed Time is usually the top pick for any level 25 skill. Heat Wave prevents a lot of damage and works on every Firebug weapon. Heat Wave and Firestorm have the same relationship as Siren Resistant Rounds and Fragmentation Rounds for Demolitions. Do keep in mind that Napalm can spread fire panic to big Zeds if you light up a group by accident. Napalm and Zed Shrapnel are again, up to personal preference. Barbecue helps out with making sure Zeds are dead since afterburn doesn't last too long by default so if you refuse to use anything that lays down ground fire, use Barbecue. Ground Fire is mandatory if you use Flamer weapons. But if you want to use anything except the Flamethrowers, Bring the Heat is probably better. Especially if you use Flamer weapons like the Caulk and Flamethrower, it's the constant ticking of Ground Fire that will kill Zeds, not big numbers. I think the Microwave Gun uses 3 ammo per tap, but my memory might be wrong.īring the Heat and High Capacity Tanks are honestly pretty interchangeable sometimes. It should use 4 ammo per tap, but a little bit of extra flame spits out at the end of the tap, so your ammo usage is more efficient when you tap vs holding down. Feedback would be helpful.įirst of all, you should always tap fire when using the Caulk/Flamethrower/Microwave Gun. I don't know if these perk skills suck or aren't the best in most cases, but it seems to be working, for my next upgrades I was thinking Firestorm because I mean what could go wrong with more range, but not sure what it means by "point blank" in Heat Wave's description (is it melee range?)Īnd finally Zed Time abilities, I'm thinking Pyromaniac because endless ammo during Zed Time so yay.? But yeah, if anyone who's had Firebug experience or knows things Firebug does that causes problems with fighting Zeds. Perk Skills (Level 15 btw): High Capacity Fuel Tank, Ground Fire, Zed Shrapnel, Upgrades: Caulk n' Burn (None), Dual Spitfires (Once Or Twice), Flamethrower (Once Or Twice), Another gun (None Or Once) Weapons: Caulk n' Burn (Early waves, sell for Flamethrower), Dual Spitfires (Early waves), Flamethrower (Waves 6-10), And another gun from another perk (typically a pistol from sharpshooter or gunslinger after I buy Flamethrower) I'm new to this and I'm not sure how much of the guides are still accurate, so here's what I got (10 wave length respectively)
